Safeguarding:
All children have the right to live their lives to their fullest potential, to be protected, to have the opportunity to participate in and enjoy any activity, and to be treated with dignity and respect. Although hundreds and thousands of children have wonderful experiences in sport, abuse does happen. It is widely accepted that it is the responsibility of every adult to protect children from abuse. The Children Act 1989 covers young people under the age of 18.
Risk Assessments:
Cycling, no matter your level has risk. The risk assessments aims to identify those risk and how to control those risks. In addition to the written risk assessments, a dynamically risk assessment is carried out during any coaching session. The Risk Assessment is reviewed periodically and updated.
